What concerns you about your home, and how Mawadda handles it
Disagreements over the unit's condition
Photos of the unit's condition and each visit's report are kept with their dates, giving you a documented record that protects your rights in a dispute.
Paying for what is not yours
After each visit, each party is invoiced only for the items it is responsible for, so your invoice includes your own items only.
Repair prices you do not know in advance
Every repair item has a set price from the published rates, so you know the cost before any work starts.
Waiting for your landlord's approval
You subscribe for your unit yourself, without needing your landlord's approval, and the periodic visits begin once you subscribe.
With Mawadda throughout the lease
One photo-documented record that protects both the owner and the tenant, from the start of the lease to its end.
- Start of the lease
A documented condition from the first visit
When the subscription starts with the lease, the first visit records the unit's condition in photos.
- During the lease
Regular care for the unit
- Four visits a year
- Faults found early
- A photo report after every visit
- Each party invoiced only for its own items
- End of the lease
Handed back in its original condition
The unit goes back in its original condition to the new tenant or the owner, with a documented record of its condition.
Mawadda is not a party to the lease and does not rule between its parties; it provides the documented record.
What your subscription includes, and what it does not
- A subscription in your name for the unit you live in; your landlord's approval is not required.
- Four scheduled visits a year, one every quarter.
- Two visits with an inspection engineer for a full inspection, and two preventive visits with a technician from a maintenance establishment contracted with DAL, alternating.
- A photo-documented report after every visit, recording the unit's condition with its date.
- An invoice for each party covering only the items it is responsible for.
- Repairs are not included in the subscription: each repair is priced upfront from the published rates and carried out only after approval and payment.
- Small repairs up to 200 riyals before VAT (230 riyals incl. VAT) are done at the same visit if the pre-approval option is chosen in the contract and quotation, and every repair carried out has a 30-day warranty.

On-demand servicesQuestions tenants ask
Do I need my landlord's approval to subscribe?
No. You can subscribe for your unit yourself; your landlord's approval is not required.
Will I pay for repairs that are not my responsibility?
No. After each visit, each party is invoiced only for the items it is responsible for, so your invoice includes your own items only.
How does the documented record protect my rights?
After every visit a photo-documented report is issued, and photos of the unit's condition are kept to protect each party's rights in a dispute. Mawadda is not a party to the lease and does not rule between its parties.
What if an urgent fault happens between visits?
The periodic visit is not an emergency service. An urgent fault at home has a separate paid special visit, which you can request on 0530545436. If lives are at risk, call the relevant authorities immediately.
Who comes to the visits?
Two of the four visits are with an inspection engineer for a full inspection, and the other two are preventive visits with a technician from a maintenance establishment contracted with DAL. They alternate through the year.
